Report: Ric Flair To Have Serious Surgery This Summer
Ric Flair will be going into surgery in July.
According to Wrestling Observer, Ric Flair has been scheduled for surgery in July for a procedure to remove his colostomy bag. The Nature Boy is still recovering from a health scare he had last year.
Last August, Ric Flair was put into a medically induced coma because of an infection related to alcohol use. He was in a coma for under a week and immediately began recovery and physical therapy. At some parts of the process, Flair was close to losing his life. He has now admitted to his issues with alcohol and has began his journey of sobriety. After his health scare, Flair told USA Today “I wouldn't even begin to think about drinking.”
Since his coma, Ric Flair has been the subject of an ESPN 30 for 30 documentary, been seen in music videos, and landed roles in films. He also started his own clothing line which specializes in suits.
Fightful.com had some information regarding the heath of Flair in the February 23 edition of the Fightful Wrestling Weekly.
Fightful Wrestling will continue to monitor and provide updates on the health and recovery of Ric Flair.
