Report: Rey Mysterio Good To Go Against Samoa Joe Following Ankle Injury

Rey Mysterio vs. Samoa Joe is still on for WrestleMania 35.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Mysterio is cleared to compete on Sunday against Samoa Joe. Mysterio was reportedly walking around without a limp on Thursday.

He suffered an ankle injury this past Monday on Raw in his match with Baron Corbin. The injury kept him out of his advertised match with Andrade on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown. Following the news, Mysterio took to Instagram to show when the injury occurred, while also giving a prayer that he would be cleared for WrestleMania.

Mysterio is set to challenge Samoa Joe for the United States Title on Sunday. As announced on television, Mysterio’s son Dominick will be ringside for the match. Dominick will be having a busy weekend as he also celebrated his 22nd birthday as well.
