Report: Pat McAfee In Talks With Amazon For Thursday Night Football Role

McAfee x Bezos, the collaboration everybody has been waiting for.

Pat McAfee has dabbled in multiple worlds since retiring from the NFL in 2017. Whether it be his gig with WWE as a integral piece in the SmackDown commentary booth or his daily YouTube/Sirius XM show that features some of the biggest guests in the world, the former Indianapolis Colts punter has certainly kept busy.

According to a new report from the New York Post, McAfee could be diving back into the NFL world.

The report states that McAfee is in talks to join the Thursday Night Football team at Amazon. It is unclear what role McAfee might take on, but the commentary booth already boasts the talents of former Sunday Night Football colleague Al Michaels and ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit.

In addition, there have reportedly been conversations about potentially airing his daily show, “The Pat McAfee Show”, on Prime Video.

The report made it clear that nothing has been finalized in regards to the conversations.

McAfee signed a multi-year deal with WWE back in December 2018. Since then, he has wrestled multiple times within the company, with the most recent time being at WrestleMania 38. To see McAfee comments about his apperance at Mania, click here.
