Report: Netflix Subscribers On Standard No-Ad Plan Won’t Get Ads During WWE Raw
Good news for Netflix subscribers.
With WWE Raw moving to Netflix in January 2025, those who subscribe to Netflix without ads, won’t get ads during typical commercial breaks.
This report comes via Alex Sherman of CNBC.
A new detail from the Netflix/Raw deal:
For Netflix subs that don’t get ads (the vast majority of y’all)…
Raw matches will be scripted around commercial breaks. So you’ll get some non-important match action (sustained headlocks!) instead of commercials. You won’t get ads.

WWE Raw often does Picture In Picture when matches go to commercials.
In an SEC filing, it was noted that Netflix has the option to extend the WWE Raw deal beyond the initial ten years or opt out after five years.
Variety also pointed out that on a recent Netflix earnings call, the company said that they are planning on removing the basic ad-free plan in some countries. The removal rollout will start with Canada and the United Kingdom in 2024.
