Report: Mustafa Ali Moved To WWE Raw

Whenever Mustafa Ali returns to WWE television, he will be part of WWE Raw.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that Ali has quietly been moved to Raw. He was drafted by WWE SmackDown during the 2019 WWE Draft with the 14th overall pick on night two. Ali hasn’t wrestled since the pandemic started and WWE moved to empty arena shows at the Performance Center. He last competed in February in a dark mark on SmackDown. His last televised match took place on December 13, 2019.

Johnson reports that whenever he returns to action, he’ll be part of Raw. It is unknown when he is set to make his return.

It should be noted that Ali is still listed on the SmackDown roster on the WWE website.

It is unknown how, or if, this will be explained on WWE television. WWE has made multiple moves since the initial draft. Apollo Crews moved to Raw due to expiring draft picks, Mojo Rawley moved to SmackDown because of Rob Gronkowski, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross were traded to SmackDown for future considerations. More recently, AJ Styles was traded to SmackDown for future considerations.
