Report: Meiko Satomura To Guest Train At The WWE Performance Center

Meiko Satomura will be doing guest coaching work for WWE.

24-year veteran of the sport of pro wrestling and former World Of STARDOM Champion Meiko Satomura is set to guest train at the WWE Performance Center according to Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens. Sources within WWE have told the site that Meiko will be helping out around the Performance Center over the next few weeks.

Meiko Satomura competed in the second Mae Young Classic tournament last Summer and made it to the semifinals before being eliminated by the current NXT U.K. Women’s Champion Toni Storm. In November, Meiko stated during an interview with Yahoo! Japan that she was planning on returning to WWE in 2019. Here’s the direct quote from the aforementioned interview with Satomura:

The level is completely different, I want to be there, I feel I can not stay in Japan forever. When the opportunity arises, of course, I will cross the ocean to fight there next year.” She continued, “I want to have a challenge to challenge the new generation. If I win here it will be the perfect ending of a great year. After that I will give momentum to the WWE re-entry in 2019, continue fighting in Japan and aim for the top of the world.”

Also, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has independently confirmed that former two-time Eastern Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champion Chris Michaels will guest coach at the WWE Performance Center as well. Michaels did enhancement work for WWF, and spots for TNA in the past.
