Report: Katsuyori Shibata Requested To Work Orange Cassidy And Bryan Danielson
Katsuyori Shibata has two opponents in mind.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Katsuyori Shibata has requested to work with Orange Cassidy and Bryan Danielson in AEW.
Shibata made a surprise appearance on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, saving Cassidy from an attack by PAC. After the save, Cassidy handed him the contract for an All-Atlantic City Dream Match on AEW Rampage. Shibata signed the contract and the AEW All-Atlantic Championship bout was made official for the November 4 episode of AEW Rampage.
Danielson is signed to AEW, but it is unknown if he will face Shibata.
Shibata returned to the ring for his first official match since being forced to retire in 2017 due to a subdural hematoma at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16, defeating Ren Narita. He previously wrestled an exhibition bout against Zack Sabre Jr at NJPW G1 Climax 31 Finals.
