Report: Kairi Sane Added To WWE’s Internal Roster

WWE has added a former Women’s Champion back to its internal roster, per a new report. 

As first reported by WrestleVotes, Kairi Sane has been re-added to the internal WWE roster and her return to the company is “imminent.” Sane is a former NXT Women’s Champion and a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion as well. 

Reports of her return to the company first surfaced back in August. 

After what feels like months of speculation, I’m told Kairi Sane has reappeared on the internal talent roster. Her return to the company is imminent.

Kairi departed WWE in July 2020 to return to Japan and become an ambassador for the promotion. After her WWE contract ended, she returned to STARDOM and wrestled her first bout under the ring name KAIRI in March 2022.

KAIRI beat Mayu Iwatani to become the first-ever IWGP Women’s Champion at the NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over. She would later lose the title to a former WWE rival of hers, Mercedes Mone, formerly Sasha Banks. 

She wrestled her last match before her hiatus at STARDOM’s event on October 9.
