Report: John Cena vs. ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg Now Planned For WrestleMania 36
The new plans for WWE WrestleMania 36 include John Cena taking on ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns battling Goldberg.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that those matches are planned as of now. As always, plans can change. John Cena was originally planned to face Elias while Wyatt was planned to defend the WWE Universal Championship against Reigns. It is unclear what, if anything, Goldberg was planned to do and it is now unclear what the plans, if anything, are for Elias.
It is also unclear who will be the WWE Universal Champion heading into WrestleMania 36. Wyatt is the current champion and is scheduled to defend his title against Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown on Thursday.
John Cena is scheduled to appear on Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown.
WWE has only confirmed two matches for WrestleMania 36; Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship and Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair for the NXT Women’s Championship.
