Report: Jeff Hardy Was Passed Out In Stairwell Prior To Arrest
WWE superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this past weekend for allegedly being drunk in public.
According to police reports obtained by TMZ Sports, a drunken Hardy was passed out in a stairwell and reeked of booze prior to the arrest. The report also states that Hardy admitted to the authorities that he had been drinking vodka prior to the incident.
Hardy would be released from jail a short time after the arrest and after posting a $200 bond, plus the WWE star has already paid a $153 ticket for public intoxication. The court is considering the case against Hardy closed and no further legal action should be taken against the wrestler.
TMZ Sports states that Hardy could fight the fine, but will most likely not being doing so since there is no conviction on his record.
The longtime WWE star recently underwent knee surgery and no timetable has been revealed for his return as of this writing.
