Report: CMLL Forcing Promotions To Choose Between Their Talent Or Rush & Dragon Lee

CMLL wants promotions to pick a side.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, CMLL is forcing promotions to choose between using their talent or Rush & Dragon Lee. The promotion reportedly pulled four wrestlers from The Crash show on Oct. 5 because The Crash wouldn’t take Rush and Dragon Lee off the show. Other promotions have reportedly taken Rush & Lee off their shows.

Lee and Titan were scheduled to team in the NJPW Super Junior Tag League, but CMLL reportedly got NJPW to pull Lee from the tournament. Instead, Titan will team with Volador Jr. in the tournament. NJPW reportedly said they want Lee and CMLL to “sort out their differences.”

Rush and Lee were fired by CMLL on Sept. 27 shortly after Rush won the ROH Championship from Matt Taven. CMLL explained that the duo were “no longer part of our company for not complying with committing to programming and company guidelines.” In a follow-up press conference, Rush stated that his loyalty to CMLL ended when Paco Alonso passed away. Lee noted that big things would be coming soon
