Report: Cash Wheeler’s Forearm Was Pierced By A Turnbuckle Hook At AEW Fight For The Fallen
An injury update has been provided on Cash Wheeler.
At AEW’s Fight for the Fallen episode of Dynamite, FTR faced off against Santana and Ortiz in a match that had been building for months. During the bout, however, Wheeler suffered a laceration to his forearm. Despite this, Dax Harwood was able to pick up the win for their team. The injury became evident when the camera panned to Wheeler outside the ring after the bell, clutching his arm while being attended to by doctors.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net provided an update on what exactly happened while appearing on The Push podcast, saying the following:
“It impaled his arm. I guess the hook on the turnbuckle, it’s to the side, so when he fell it just cut his forearm, so the turnbuckle hook took a chunk out of his arm, and it was bad bro, it was bad. They instantly had to call an audible and change up the finish of the match.”
The report would go on to state that Wheeler did not have to go to the hospital for treatment as doctors were able to stitch up the wound on site. The FTR member was said to be in good spirits following the incident, although no timetable was given on his recovery.
Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.
