Report: Brock Lesnar’s WWE Contract Expires In May Or June 2020

An update on Brock Lesnar‘s contract with WWE.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Brock Lesnar’s contract runs through “roughly” May or June 2020.

Lesnar’s most recent contract expired following WrestleMania 35 and The Beast was in discussions with Dana White for a potential return to the UFC. However, those negotiations fell through with UFC reportedly failing to meet Brock’s asking price. White refuted the report, saying “Lesnar’s head wasn’t in fighting.” UFC had been building towards and teasing a potential fight between Lesnar and UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

When Lesnar dropped the WWE Universal Title to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35, he seemed on his way out of the company, but he returned at WWE Money in the Bank. The timeline would indicate that Lesnar signed a one-year deal prior to returning at Money in the Bank on May 25.

Lesnar would end up winning the Money in the Bank ladder match, giving him the briefcase and a shot at the WWE Universal Title or WWE Title anytime between now and May 25, 2020.
