Report: Adam “Hangman” Page Is No Longer Kenny Omega’s Planned Opponent For AEW All Out

Adam Page is reportedly no longer the desired opponent for Kenny Omega at AEW All Out.

For months on AEW programming, Kenny Omega appeared to be building towards a match with Adam Page for the World Championship. Now, after Page and Dark Order lost a 5-On-5 Elimination Match against Kenny and The Elite at AEW Fight for the Fallen, a new report says that while Adam Page was the planned opponent for the card at the NOW Arena in Chicago during Labor Day weekend, plans have changed.

Dave Meltzer, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, says that Hangman will no longer be challenging his former Tag Team Championship partner at AEW All Out as the company has changed directions.

The ten-man tag at Fight for the Fallen was reportedly designed to “shock people” by the revelation that Page would not be the next in line.

The AEW All Out pay-per-view takes place on September 5, approximately 5 weeks from this report. During that span of time, AEW is also adding to their television lineup on August 13 with AEW Rampage. The very next week being The First Dance, a special event from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on August 20.

In anticipation of that event, AEW has begun dropping references to CM Punk. It was first reported by Fightful Select that CM Punk is in talks with All Elite Wrestling regarding a return to the ring.

Fightful will continue to have live coverage of all weekly AEW programming in our results section.
