Renzo Rose: Nobody In Wrestling Is Doing What The Sem Is Doing, It’s Something Unique
Renzo Rose reflects on working with The Sem throughout 2023.
Renzo Rose wants to keep his distance from The Sem in OTT.
The Sem and Rose were tied together for much of 2023, as the duo faced off on several occasions while also teaming together, winning the Gender Neutral Championship together at OTT’s Ninth Anniversary show. While fans enjoyed seeing the two work together, Renzo is hoping that The Sem keeps their distance in 2024, as Rose told Fightful’s Corey Brennan in a recent interview.
“He’s doing his thing and I’m doing my thing. The Sem, I’m not going to lie and say that we as opponent and tag partners, we share important moments. I’m not going to pretend that he wasn’t there in Milan when I won the belt. We even had technically a belt together. We were GN champions for seven days together until he lost the belt by himself. It’s something unique. I’ll say that it’s something unique and it’s doing something that nobody is doing in wrestling internationally. I’m sure that he’s going to get lots of eyes on him. He’s a fan favorite. But he’s not my cup of tea. I spent 2023 basically with him and I’ll give everything to not spend 2024 with him. I want him to do good just without me.”
The Sem has been a prevalent face on the Irish wrestling scene, so we will likely see more of him in the future in OTT.
