Renzo Rose Blasts OTT NLW Title Match vs Big Damo: “Listen Here, I Don’t Care About Technicalities”

Renzo Rose blasts OTT’s decision to book him vs Big Damo at Gaff Party Belfast.

Renzo Rose responds to the booking of an NLW title defense with Big Damo.

When Renzo Rose defended his No Limits Championship against B Cool back in December, he stated that after this defense, no other Irish talent would be challenging for the title during his reign. However, OTT found a loophole to this stipulation earlier this week, as it was announced Big Damo will challenge for the NLW Championship at OTT Gaff Party Night 3 on March 3rd in Belfast.

Rose was not happy about this decision, and in a promo posted to OTT’s social media, he reminded the promotion of the deal, stating that he doesn’t care about technicalities of Damo being born in Belfast.

“No Irish can ever challenge for this belt ever again. That was the deal. But yesterday, OTT announced that the main event for Belfast is gonna be me versus Damo for the NLW Championship. Listen here, I don’t care about technicalities. I don’t care about passport. I don’t care about people saying, ‘well, actually, he’s from the north-east of Belfast.’ He’s still Irish! So, if you want to see me defend this belt, come to Dublin, where I dispose an American name after Crisp. There’s a reason why Irish people cannot challenge me for this belt. And that’s the reason why I’m European champion. Renzo… Rose.”

On Gaff Party Night 2 in Dublin, Renzo will put the title on the line vs Griffin McCoy. Fightful recently sat down with McCoy for an interview. You can find that here.
