Renee Paquette Says Her WWE Non-Compete Clause Is ‘Nearly Up’

Renee Paquette left WWE following SummerSlam 2020, and though she’s been able to start her own podcast, her television ventures have been limited due to her non-compete clause with WWE.

Following her WWE departure, she stated her non-compete lasts “quite a while.”

Speaking to Wrestling Inc, she updated fans on her status, saying, “My non-compete with WWE is nearly up … I still have a good standing relationship with WWE. There’s no ill-will or bad blood or anything like that.”

Renee didn’t give an exact date on when her clause ends.

Speaking about her future and possibly working at AEW, where her husband Jon Moxley is currently employed, Renee said, “I don’t ever want to separate myself from professional wrestling. I know that’s where my fanbase comes from; I know that’s essentially going to always be my bread and butter — and I love that. I love professional wrestling, so I’m not looking to ‘get away’ from it by any stretch. Looking at AEW, I think there are endless opportunities of other things I could be doing over there, if that was to be something that came up down the line. I’ve honestly not put much thought into it.”

Renee has not only found success with her podcast Oral Sessions, but she’s also released a cookbook since leaving WWE.
