Renee Paquette Praises Taylor Swift For ‘Keeping Her Sh*t Together While Being Ridiculed’

Count Renee Paquette as one of the million Swifties in the world.

Taylor Swift dropped her latest album “evermore” on Friday, December 11 and Renee, much like the rest of the Swifties, was very excited to hear what Swift had cooking up during quarantine.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Renee explained how she became a Swiftie and what she admires about Taylor.

“Initially, it was a slow burn for me. Now, especially the artist she is now — also, kudos to this new album she is dropping. It’s fantastic. She’s a hard worker, an incredible artist. She’s been through hell and back, having to deal with a bunch of issues. The fact that she is not disheartened by these things and still wants to tell her story and write these beautiful songs and re-recording them and releasing the studio sessions. I love that she is looking for new ways, I don’t think it’s re-inventing herself, it’s the layers of the onion continue to peal with her. She grew up in front of our eyes and she seems to kept her shit together while being ridiculed at every single corner. Everything she comes across, she gets ridiculed for. It’s cool to see that she has taken a step back. She’s not in the public eye the way that she used to be and is working on her art form alone. I love that. We all get to reap the benefits of these beautifully crafted songs,” she said.

The interview was recorded before “evermore” graced our ears, but looking back on “folklore,” Renee named “the 1,” “my tears ricochet,” “invisible string,” and “this is me trying” as her favorite tracks off the album.

She also said she “loves” the “Lover” album.

Sean Ross Sapp and myself will have a full review of “evermore” on tonight’s WWE SmackDown post-show.
