The Raw Men’s Team Wins In A Clean Sweep Over SmackDown At WWE Survivor Series 2020
Monday Night Raw pitched a shutout against SmackDown in the opening match of Survivor Series 2020.
Monday Night Raw is off to a good start at Survivor Series. On the kickoff show, The Miz won a battle royal featuring superstars from both Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw. Then, in the opening match on the pay-per-view, AJ Styles, Riddle, Keith Lee, Sheamus, and Braun Strowman were able to defeat the SmackDown crew in traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series action.
The first elimination came when Seth Rollins sacrificed himself “for the greater good” and it only went downhill for SmackDown from there. The last elimination came when Keith Lee (who has a new theme song) eliminated Jey Uso with a Spirit Bomb. Bad news for Uso as Paul Heyman, the man who serves as counsel to Roman Reigns, said there would be trouble for Jey if he was not able to secure victory.
With this victory, the 2020 Raw men’s Survivor Series team joined the likes of The Visionaries from 1990 and Team D-Generation X from 2006 as teams who were able to make it through an entire elimination match with a clean sweep.
