Randy Orton: Bad Bunny Is Officially A WWE Superstar, He Respects This Business

Randy Orton has high praise from Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny has been a weekly feature on WWE television since the Royal Rumble, when he entered into a feud with The Miz and John Morrison. Bunny has won the 24/7 Title and has received props from wrestlers, including Triple H, for taking his role seriously.

At night one of WrestleMania, he finally got a chance to show off his hard work in training, wrestling his first match as a performer when he teamed with Damian Priest to take on The Miz & Morrison.

And Randy Orton was impressed.

“We’ve had a lot of celebrities over the years come in and try to step into our world and do what we do, because, you know, everyone can do it, right? We make it look easy, but it’s not. For the first time in this manner, seeing Bad Bunny come into our world and seeing him completely halt his touring schedule and music so he could get in the ring — I’ve seen him in there with trainers trying to get as good as he can get. Two, three, four, five hours a day. That impresses me. Thank you to Bad Bunny for having respect for what I do and what everyone else in the locker room does and for what WWE does. I appreciate him as a fan, but now I can look over at him and call him a fellow performer. It’s a breath of fresh air to know that someone like that, with that big of a following and that successful in his own world, steps into ours and treats us all with respect. That’s usually not the case when it comes to people coming backstage into our world. I appreciate Bad Bunny and the hard work he’s put in to delivering. He knocked everyone’s socks off [backstage]. I know he impressed a lot her fellow WWE superstars. He’s officially a WWE superstar in my book,” Orton said on The Bump.

Bad Bunny pulled off a falcon arrow and Canadian destroyer in the match, eventually picking up the victory for his team.

Orton will get a chance to try and top Bad Bunny at night two of WrestleMania 37 when he takes on “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. You can view Orton’s thoughts on the match by clicking here.
