In a Raw Exclusive, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and Damian Priest confronted Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. The duo questioned Pearce for booking them in a match for the January 8 episode of WWE Raw. Pearce noted that the Judgment Day requested a match, and they wanted to know who was responsible. R-Truth revealed that he made the request.
R-Truth: I requested that. Look, I heard DIY talking about our tag team titles. We can’t have nobody walking around talking about our tag team titles. We gotta nip it in the bud.
Damian Priest: Truth, look man, at first I found you amusing. You’re funny. But now you’re trying to speak for the Judgment Day, and you’re trying to make decisions about our tag team titles. You just made this serious.
R-Truth: This isn’t about the tag team titles. DIY is good, but they haven’t earned a tag team title shot. It was just a simple match. Ciampa versus Finn.
When Balor asked Truth why he chose him, Truth noted that he knew Finn was scared of Balor, and he told Pearce to nix the match, as Balor was a “scaredy cat”. The remark fired Balor up, and he told Pearce to book the match.
DP: Oh.
Finn Balor: Me? Why me?
R-Truth: Oh, my bad. I know you’re afraid of Ciampa. Adam, scratch that. Finn is a scaredy cat.
FB: Scaredy cat? I’m no scaredy cat.
Adam Pearce: Finn, do you want the match or not?
FB: The match? Book it. Next week, we’ll find out who the real scaredy cat is.
As of this writing, WWE has not officially announced the match.
