Quarter Hour Viewership For 8/19 NXT And 8/22 AEW Dynamite
A look at how each segment of the August 19 episode of NXT and August 22 episode of AEW performed.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics provided the quarter-hour viewership numbers overall and in the 18-49 demographic for the most recent episodes of NXT and AEW.
The shows were unopposed with AEW running on Saturday due to the NBA Playoffs.
NXT posted the following viewership gains and losses for August 19:
Q1 (Johnny Gargano vs. Ridge Holland): 921,000 viewers, 306,000 in 18-49
Q2 (Gargano vs. Holland finish, Dakota Kai vs. Jessi Kamea, Tegan Nox promo): 871,000 viewers (-50,000), 318,000 in 18-49 (+12,000)
Q3 (Legado del Fantasma vs. Breezango & Isaiah “Swerve” Scott): 848,000 viewers (-23,000), 325,000 in 18-49 (+7,000)
Q4 (Legado del Fantasma vs. Breezango & Scott finish, Undisputed Era – Pat McAfee promo start): 873,000 (+25,000), 340,000 in 18-49 (+15,000)
Q5 (Undisputed Era – Pat McAfee promo, Mercedes Martinez & Aliyah vs. Rhea Ripley & Shotzi Blackheart): 847,000 (-26,000), 324,000 in 18-49 (-16,000)
Q6 (Martinez & Aliyah vs. Ripley & Blackheart finish): 779,000 (-68,000), 279,000 in 18-49 (-45,000)
Q7 (Karrion Kross vs. Keith Lee video, Finn Balor vs. Velveteen Dream): 842,000 (+63,000), 289,000 in 18-49 (+10,000)
Q8 (Balor vs. Dream finish): 863,000 (+21,000), 309,000 in 18-49 (+20,000)
AEW posted the following viewership gains and losses for August 22:
Q1 (FTR vs. Private Party): 1,002,000 viewers, 575,000 in 18-49
Q2 (Jon Moxley and MJF promos, eight-man tag): 724,000 viewers (-278,000), 416,000 in 18-49 (-159,000)
Q3 (eight-man tag finish, Britt Baker segment, Chris Jericho & Orange Cassidy segment): 791,000 viewers (+67,000), 444,000 in 18-49 (+28,000)
Q4 (Jericho & Cassidy segment end, Dark Order vs. The Elite): 767,000 (-24,000), 423,000 in 18-49 (-21,000)
Q5 (The Elite vs. Dark Order finish, FTR & Hangman Page segment): 712,000 (-55,000), 386,000 in 18-49 (-37,000)
Q6 (Darby Allin vs. Will Hobbs, Matt Hardy & Sammy Guevara segment, Thunder Rosa): 666,000 (-46,000), 361,000 in 18-49 (-25,000)
Q7 (Ivelisse & Diamante vs. Brandi Rhodes & Allie): 640,000 (-26,000), 288,000 in 18-49 (-73,000)
Q8 (Brodie Lee vs. Cody): 738,000 (+98,000), 356,000 in 18-49 (+68,000)
Thurston also points out that AEW benefitted from having the NBA playoff game as the lead-in as it drew 1,601,000 viewers and a demo of 0.62.
