QT Marshall: I Can’t Think Of A Single Thing Cody Rhodes Has Done To Get Booed
QT Marshall doesn’t understand why Cody Rhodes gets booed.
QT Marshall turned heel on Cody Rhodes earlier this year and has been appropriately booed ever since.
In recent months, Cody Rhodes has begun receiving more of a polarizing reaction. This has even become a central part of the presentation of the Cody Rhodes character on television.
While Cody Rhodes continues to insist that he will not turn heel, QT Marshall, who started as Cody Rhodes’ assistant off-camera just trying to figure out if Cody Rhodes has ever actually done anything to deserve his jeers.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, QT Marshall would say that on television, he has done a lot to be deservedly booed but Cody Rhodes hasn’t actually done anything yet to deserve the ire of the audience. Despite this, Marshal is sure that Cody Rhodes doesn’t mind any of the reaction as long as the people are making noise.
“Yeah, I mean, well, it depends. I think they were booing him because, like, especially right now with Malakai, Malakai is cool. He’s fresh, he’s from the other place. So it’s like, we’re in the honeymoon phase of Malakai. So, I did expect that. On top of that, Cody is like a very polarizing figure, right? He’s got his own tour bus that suits. He’s rich. He says, he has a reality show. I mean, it is hard, on the surface, to like him, but at the same time, what has he done to deserve to get booed?
“I don’t know. You know, I punched Arn Anderson in the face. So I deserve to get booed. You know, Malakai kicked Arn’s head off, he deserves to get booed. I’m trying to think of one thing that Cody’s done that deserves booing from the fans. At the same time, as long as they’re making noise, I don’t think he really cares one way or the other.”
Recently, Cody Rhodes has compared himself to Woody from Toy Story based on the way the audience has received him. Learn more about why Cody feels this way at this link.
