Punishment Martinez Makes NXT Debut, Loses To Matt Riddle
Punishment Martinez has arrived.
On Wednesday’s episode of NXT, former ROH Television Champion Punishment Martinez made his NXT television debut. Martinez faced Matt Riddle in singles competition, but came up short against the King of Bros. Here’s how the bout played out courtesy of Fightful’s live coverage:
They lock up before Matt locks in a rear naked choke, but Martinez falls back to break it before Matt just reapplies it. Martinez then misses a running back elbow in the corner before dropping Matt with a cyclone kick for a two count. Martinez clotheslines Matt before Matt counters a chokeslam into a roundhouse kick and beats him down with elbows until Matt locks in the Bromission for the tap and the win.
