Puff Daddy Appearing on Raw Next Week, “New Era” Continues Unabated
As first reported by RollingStone and confirmed on WWE.com, Sean “Puffy” “Puff Daddy” “P. Diddy” “Diddy” Combs will be appearing on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, emanating from The Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.
Because when Vincent Kennedy McMahon thinks “New Era,” he thinks Puff Daddy.
Combs played a set at Wrestlemania 29 in 2013 from Met Life Stadium in New Jersey, and this will be his first appearance on WWE programming since that event.
Occasionally, Raw brings in a celebrity guest host to goose the ratings. Earlier this year, Dr. Phil guest hosted and surprisingly didn’t ruin the entire show.
Then there was Flo Rida, who was in a rap battle segment with Bo Dallas “Bo Rida” and got his lunch handed to him.
Will P. Diddy meet a similar fate? It’s too soon to say, though Bo Dallas is on the Raw roster.
No word yet on whether Combs will be performing, guest hosting, comparing dope rhymes with R. Truth, or indeed why he’ll be at Raw at all.
Will Enzo & Big Cass be in a segment with him, where they spit game on a coupla hatas?
Will Kevin Owens powerbomb him off the stage as he did to rapper Machine Gun Kelly last year?
Will Combs perform his most recent hit “Workin’,” now seen as an homage to Cesaro, AJ Styles and all the best workers in the company?
Will he perform 1997’s classic “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” with Alberto Del Rio on guest vocals?
Will he perform his #1 smash hit “I’ll Be Missing You,” also from 1997, while a video package of hiatus bound John Cena plays on the jumbotron, as Vince looks up at the screen with tears welling in his eyes?
Tune in next Monday at 8/7c to find out.
