PROGRESS Wrestling ‘Hello Wembley’ Results (9/30/18): WALTER Vs. Tyler Bate For The World Title, Doug Williams Retires, More

The show was a blast!

Today, those in the United Kingdom bare witnessed to the biggest independent wrestling show in the U.K. in thirty years which was PROGRESS Wrestling’s ‘Hello Wembley’ event. The promotion broke their attendance record with over 4,000 rabid wrestling fans jam packed inside the SSE Arena in Wembley, England. The show featured the main event of WALTER versus Tyler Bate with the PROGRESS World Championship on the line, Matt Riddle wrestled his final independent date, Jimmy Havoc went to war with Paul Robinson and British wrestling veteran Doug Williams competed in his final match. The event was not streamed live but will be made available to watch in the coming week.

Main Show

2) Mark Haskins def. Matt Riddle

3) PROGRESS Women’s Championship – Triple-Threat – Jinny (c) def. Toni Storm and Millie McKenzie to retain the title. Post-match, Jordynne Grace took out everyone.

4) PROGRESS Atlas Championship w/ stipulation (If Doug Williams loses he must retire) – Trent Seven def. Doug Williams (c) to become the new champion.

5) NO-DQ Match – Jimmy Havoc def. Paul Robinson

6) PROGRESS Tag Team Championships – ‘Thunderbastard’ Match – Aussie Open def. Bandido & Flamita (c), The 198 (Flash Morgan Webster & “Wild Boar” Mike Hitchman), CCKampf (Chris Brookes & Timothy Thatcher), Sexy Starr (David Starr & Jack Sexsmith), Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson), Anti Fun Police (Chief Deputy Dunne & Los Federales Santos Junior), and Connor Mills and Maverick Mayhew to become the new champions.
