PROGRESS Announcer And Creative Member Matt Richards Steps Down
Matt Richards has stepped down from his roles in PROGRESS Wrestling.
Richards served as the ring announcer and creative team member for PROGRESS before making this decision. He said in his statement on social media that he has fallen out of love with pro wrestling after many women have come forward and accused dozens of British wrestlers associated with PROGRESS of sexual abuse or assault.
Over the last few days I’ve discovered that people who I previously regarded as friends have committed inexcusable & appalling acts. I wholeheartedly support those who have spoken out. My feelings can’t possibly compare to the impact this will have had on those affected
