The CMLL Anniversary show has been revealed after fan voting decided various title matches, but one title match won’t be going as planned.
Princesa Sugehit had won a fan vote to challenge for the CMLL Women’s World Title at the 87th Anniversary show, but on a CMLL stream announcing the card, Sugehit revealed that she is withdrawing from the match due to her testing positive for COVID-19.

Sugehit beat out both Dalys and Amapola in a three-woman vote, receiving 44.73 percent of the vote and was supposed to face Marcela for the title. Speaking on the stream, Sugehit thanked everyone who voted for her and was excited to be able to challenge for the title. She did note that she is asymptomatic and was feeling fine, but was told of the positive test result the morning of September 16.
“Everyone knows with events such as these, there are protocols and unfortunately, I’ve had three tests and this third one here in Monterrey. People have noticed that it’s been more than 15 days since I last appeared live and unfortunately, I did my tests here north. I have some bad news and I hope officials can forgive. This is news that I received this morning after the test I took and it came out positive. I couldn’t believe it. I had to go with the doctors to give me the descriptions and what I have in my hands. It was a doctor who told me that I did test positive for COVID, but I am asymptomatic. More than anything, due to protocol, I can’t attend the Anniversary show as I am now under quarantine for 14 days. It’s a shame and sad news and truthfully, I don’t have words because I was so happy. To hear that I tested positive for COVID saddened me. I do want to tell fans that I am good, I’m just asymptomatic. I couldn’t believe it because I didn’t have any symptoms. Even today, I’m doing my normal routines around the house and preparing for the title match. I have to rest and take care of myself and my co-workers. It’s sad that I won’t be able to attend the Anniversary show,” Sugehit said in Spanish.
CMLL has not commented on whether or not Marcela will wrestle at the Anniversary show, taking place on September 25. If Marcela were to defend the title against the second-leading vote getter, it would be against Dalys, who got 37.73 percent of the fan votes.
