By The Power Of Grayskull, Cody Rhodes Is Going Through A Mid-Life Crisis

Cody Rhodes believes he is going through a mid-life crisis.

After an extended hiatus, Shot of Brandi returned on September 16th with Cody Rhodes being the featured guest. During the episode, The American Nightmare cooked breakfast, brought out his Best Dad Jokes trophy, and showed off his self-assessed mid-life crisis.

Cody brought the camera to another room and spoke passionately about his Master of the Universe figures. Though he doesn’t seem totally thrilled about the fact that he began collecting in his mid-30s, the AEW star is about to drop a lot more money to keep growing his collection. He said the following (seen in the video below, via AEW’s YouTube channel):

“This is it. Master of the Universe. 35 and I started collecting toys. 35. And not just ‘Classics.’ This is an ‘Origins’ figure. This is a ‘Masterverse’ figure from the original, like from the new line. This is an [original series] original. I’m about to go in on a Blue Beard Stratos for two thousand three hundred dollars, which is way overpriced. An adult. An Adult.”

Cody and Brandi recently welcomed a baby girl to the world in June 2021. Cody returned to AEW TV on September 15 to confront Malakai Black. He’d been away since August 4th when he was squashed by Black in singles competition. Rhodes teased retirement after the match but was attacked by his adversary before he could take the other off.

Cody and Malakai are set to clash once again next Wednesday, September 22, at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

A new MOTU series, Revelation, spearheaded by Kevin Smith is available to watch now on Netflix.
