Potential Spoiler: Asuka’s Tag Team Partner For WWE TLC Reportedly Revealed

Somebody is reportedly ready for Asuka to choose them to be her tag team partner at WWE TLC.

Even though the build to the Women’s Tag Team Championship bout at WWE TLC 2020 was heavily built around Lana and her feud with Nia Jax, Lana has now been removed from the match following an attack on the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw and Asuka is expected to team with a mystery partner to challenge Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

According to a new report by Dave Meltzer, the mystery partner is expected to be Charlotte Flair. Flair has not been seen in months and was taken out, in storylines, by Nia Jax following a championship match loss to Asuka. Charlotte would explain on social media that her absence was due to lingering issues caused by cosmetic surgery and an overall need to regather and refocus.

For Charlotte, this year began with her winning the Women’s Royal Rumble and subsequently defeating Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36, her 12 singles championship, before losing the title to Io Shirai at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, when Rhea Ripley was pinned in a triple threat match. Should this report be true and Charlotte and Asuka come away from the evening victorious, Charlotte would then be added to the list of female Grand Slam Champions in WWE, joining the likes of Asuka, Bayley, Alexa Bliss, and Sasha Banks.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE TLC beginning tonight at 6 p.m. Eastern.
