A Portion Of AJ Styles’ Career In TNA To Be Covered On A Future Episode Of ‘Something Else To Wrestle With’
An in-depth look into a specific portion of AJ Styles’ TNA run.
Former WWE on-screen character, producer and creative writer Bruce Prichard’s ‘Something To Wrestle With’ podcast has been brought onto the WWE Network as he and his host Conrad Thompson present their traditional podcast as well as a WWE Network show entitled ‘Something Else To Wrestle With’.
The show was first featured on the WWE Network in mid-April and has been a weekly fixture on the platform as Prichard and Conrad cover the careers of names such as John Cena, Vince Russo, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and others. It was recently revealed by Conrad Thompson during an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated that a portion of the current WWE Champion AJ Styles’ career in TNA will be covered on a future episode of the WWE Network version of their show.
“We’re going to cover from October 2010, which is right when Bruce came into the company, and we’ll carry it right to July of 2013,” said Thompson. “AJ was a TNA original, so when he parted ways with TNA in 2013, history changed forever. That exodus, with AJ leaving, started an immediate sharp decline in TNA.”
Bruce Prichard was hired by TNA in 2010 to work as a backstage agent and producer but was let go from the company three years later. Conrad and Prichard as mentioned will be discussing AJ’s time in the company during that period and Conrad stated that he and Bruce have their fingers crossed that WWE can obtain footage from IMPACT of AJ during that 2010-2013 period of his career with the company so it can be used on the show.
“That’s the plan,” said Thompson. “I know that WWE is trying to make a deal to license some of that footage, so we’ve got our fingers crossed. I think that deal would be good for everyone if such a deal were put together, but we’ll see.”
Episodes of ‘Something Else To Wrestle With’ are available to watch on the WWE Network. To add, while on the topic of AJ Styles “The Phenomenal One” had himself a confrontation with his ‘Money In The Bank’ opponent Shinsuke Nakamura this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live.
