Petey Williams vs. Steve Maclin Announced For IMPACT Emergence
A new match has been announced for IMPACT Emergence.
Ever since debuting in IMPACT Wrestling, Steve Maclin has been dominant, going undefeated. Additionally, he has been open about the fact that the X Division Championship is in his crosshairs.
Last month, Maclin laid a brutal beat down on Trey Miguel after their match. Petey Williams came out to make the save. This didn’t sit well with Maclin, however, as he claims that Williams should have stayed out of his business. Over the past number of weeks, the two men have been trading attacks, escalating tensions even further.
During the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal on August 12, Maclin had Williams eliminated while standing on the outside of the ring, costing him a shot at the IMPACT World Title. Shortly afterwards, it was revealed that Maclin and Williams would go one-on-one at Emergence on August 20.
