Pete Dunne To Defend NXT UK Title At TakeOver: New York Against WALTER, Updated Card

Pete Dunne is headed to NXT TakeOver: New York.

On today’s episode of NXT UK, General Manager Johnny Saint and his assistant Sid Scala announced that Pete Dunne will defend the NXT UK Title at TakeOver: New York on Apr. 5. An opponent was not given, but Dunne interrupted the announcement and stated, “GIVE ME, WALTER!”

WALTER wasted little time to respond to the challenge on social media.

At the end of NXT UK, Sid confirmed that the match between WALTER and Dunne will go down at TakeOver: New York.

WALTER and Dunne have been tied at the hip ever since WALTER made his NXT UK debut at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool when he stared down Dunne after the champions victory over Joe Coffey. The two united on last week’s episode of NXT UK to defeat the Coffey Brothers.

NXT TakeOver: New York is scheduled for Apr. 5 from the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn. You can view the full card on Fightful’s events page, but we must warn that the card contains spoilers. Here is a look at the announced card:
