Paul Rudd Learns Of Orange Cassidy, Write That In Your Gournal

Cool.

Fans know that Orange Cassidy’s character comes from Paul Rudd’s character Andy in “Wet Hot American Summer.” Andy was too cool for school and his nonchalant attitude was endearing to viewers. “Jane” by Jefferson Starship was the main theme of “Wet Hot American Summer” and is it now the theme of Orange Cassidy.

While AEW and wrestling fans are aware of Orange Cassidy, the man his character is based off of was not aware of the reigning AEW All-Atlantic Champion. Until now, thanks to William Mullally, who informed Rudd of OC’s existence during a press tour for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”

This is the journalism we need.

Orange Cassidy was in action on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, teaming with The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Browens) & Billy Gunn to defeat Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt.
