Paul Heyman Admits To Conspiring Against Sami Zayn When He Was Executive Director Of WWE Raw

Sami Zayn may be wearing a tinfoil hat, but as it turns out, he may be onto something.

Appearing on Talking Smack, Sami spoke with Paul Heyman and Kayla Braxton about the active conspiracy to keep him out of the main event picture and away from people like Roman Reigns. The former-Intercontinental Champion said that he respects Roman Reigns for no longer being a corporate shill who toes the company line. After the interview concluded, Heyman replied to Zayn’s claims of suppression, as well as him calling Reigns the Golden Goose with whom WWE butter’s their bread.

“I’d like to say one of three things here. Number one, he says they want to keep him out of the ring against someone like Roman Reigns, ladies and gentlemen, there is no one like Roman Reigns. He’s the #1 box office attraction, the #1 star here in WWE. Number two, Sami’s right, there’s a conspiracy against him. I was the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw. Sami was on Raw. I conspired against him every week. I don’t like the guy, he’s a prick, okay. Number three, I don’t even remember number three, oh right, the Golden Goose line. Roman Reigns was the Golden Goose of WWE until he learned that the Golden Goose controls the distribution of the golden eggs. So the real power here, as Adam Pearce is going to learn, lies with the Tribal Chief, the Golden Goose himself, Roman Reigns.”

On the February 12 edition of SmackDown, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio to qualify for the blue brand’s Elimination Chamber match. The winner will have the opportunity to face Roman Reigns later that same night.
