Pat McAfee, much like Austin Theory, is looking forward to competing in front of his first live WrestleMania crowd. Pat McAfee does have experience inside the squared Circle having competed at two NXT TakeOver events, one was in a match against Adam Cole and the other match was inside of WarGames.

Following last year’s WrestleMania, Pat McAfee was added to the Friday Night SmackDown announce team alongside Michael Cole. In addition to that, Pat McAfee has had the Good Fortune of interviewing several WWE personalities on his live podcast.

One of those personalities interviewed was Vince McMahon and Vince offered Pat McAfee the chance to wrestle at WrestleMania 38. McMahon’s protege, Austin Theory wound up being named Pat’s opponent and now, Pat is looking forward to kicking Austin’s ass at WrestleMania.

Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up, Pat McAfee put over his own training regimen for the upcoming match and said that he feels like he’s in the best shape of his life and wishes he was in as good of shape when he was playing for the NFL.

“[Austin Theory] doesn’t have [any fans]. Okay, so to everybody else that is hoping and wishing and praying that I will beat his ass, that is exactly what’s going to happen. I don’t know if you can see me Greeny, and I know you’ve got a stack cast in there of Super Bowl champions and insiders that know more than any other insiders on Earth. But I got a jawline all of a sudden, okay? I got some [triceps and biceps] and I will trap any human that wants to get after it. This is the best shape I’ve ever been in in my entire life. I should have been working out like this when I was in the NFL. ‘Hindsight is 50-50,’ Cam Newton said that, and I wish I can maybe go back in time, but I’m feeling really good. This is the best I’ve felt. I’m getting there, I’m trying to end it quick. If I got to get [yells] kick to the head, I’ll do that. But I’m excited for whatever the world throws me on Sunday. I’m just trying to walk out of there undefeated at WrestleMania, so I can put it on my Twitter bio. That’s all I’m trying to do,” said McAfee.

For a long time the only man associated with being undefeated at WrestleMania was The Undertaker and this year, The Undertaker is going into the Hall of Fame. You will be inducted by Vince McMahon, something Vince also announced on the Pat McAfee Show.
