Pat McAfee Signs Multi-Year Deal With WWE

Former NFL punter Pat McAfee will be sticking around long-term in WWE.

On the latest episode of the Pat McAfee Show, he revealed that WWE offered him a multi-year deal.

“WWE has formally offered me a multi-year contract,” he stated. “Who knows what we’re going to be doing over there, they just want me to come make some content. We’ll see where it goes.”

McAfee has appeared on NXT TakeOver pre-show panels in the past. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that McAfee will remain apart of the pre-show panels and will be contributing to WWE’s digital content.

In October, WWE uploaded an episode of Mind of McAfee where Pat looked back on SmackDown 1000.

It’s been the only episode uploaded to their channel thus far. WWE has been creating new digital content recently. This past week they debuted Botch Club, Xavier Woods’ Arcade Challenge, Kitchen SmackDown, and Fashion Files: Cold Case Unit on the WWE Network. All four shows have also been uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel.

McAfee spent eight years in the NFL as the punter for the Indianapolis Colts before retiring in 2016. He is scheduled to make his debut as a NFL analyst this weekend in the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game.
