Pat McAfee Defines Stupendous, HOOK Walks Over QT Marshall, And More | Fight Size



Here is your post-WWE/AEW fight size update for Friday, January 21, 2022.

WWE SmackDown

– The opening segment saw Seth Rollins challenge The Usos to a Tag Team Match. If he won, they would be barred from ringside for his match with Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. If he lost, he would relinquish his title shot. Both he and Roman agreed after he introduced Kevin Owens as his partner.

– Kofi Kingston was set to face Madcap Moss, but with King Woods sidelined, Big E made the trek over from Raw to backup his fellow New Day member. Kofi would pick up the win while Big E helped keep Happy Corbin from factoring into the decision or pulling any post-match antics.

– With Summer Rae watching on from the front row, Natalya once again lost to Aliyah. This time via disqualification as she refused to break a hold while in the corner. Summer is set to compete in the Royal Rumble and has been trading barbs with Natalya over social media.

– Pat McAfee got extra excited while defining the word ‘stupendous,’ even pulling out a dictionary.

– The number one contender’s to the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, the Viking Raiders, picked up another victory this evening over Los Lotharios.

– Sami Zayn once again tried to prove that he can do anything Johnny Knoxville can do, only better but got called out by the Jackass star who revealed that Sami was only pretending to use a Cattle Prodder. Knoxville grabbed the device, turned it on, and jabbed Sami in the stomach with it before tossing him over the top rope.

– Eric Bischoff was backstage giving Adam Pearce managerial advice. After Sonya Deville interjected herself into another one of Naomi’s matches, costing her a win against Charlotte Flair, Pearce said he was recommending to upper management that Sonya and Naomi have a match. He believes this feud is affecting her managerial abilities.

– GCW star Jeff Jarrett was backstage and interacted with Rick Boogs, complimenting him on his guitar playing.

– After Seth Rollins hit a stomp, Roman Reigns jumped in the ring and hit Seth Rollins with a superman punch, causing the main event to end in a disqualification. As a result of his actions, however, The Usos will be barred from ringside during his match at the Royal Rumble.

AEW Rampage

Jon Moxley made his return to action on Rampage, defeating Ethan Page. On his way to the back, Moxley was met by Bryan Danielson who applauded as they stared each other down.

– Nick Jackson hit Trent Beretta with everything he had, but in the end, it wasn’t good enough as the Best Friend was able to walk away with the victory.

– In Hook’s first live match he made quick work of Serpentico, tapping him out with Redrum. QT Marshall confronted Hook for the second time in as many matches and once again was suplexed by the young star. Hook proceeded to walk over QT on his way to the back.

– Anna Jay came close to capturing the TBS Championship on a couple of occasions, locking in the Queen Slayer, but Jade Cargill was able to power out each time. She would eventually hit Jay with Jaded to retain her title in the main event of Rampage.
