Pat Kenney (Simon Diamond) Suffered A ‘Mild Stroke,’ No Longer Hospitalized

Pat Kenney dealing with health issues. 

PWInsider reports Pat Kenney, the former Simon Diamond, suffered a “mild stroke” was was hospitalized last Friday. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday, but is currently dealing with impaired vision. He will reportedly “have a long recovery period ahead.”

Kenney is the Director of Talent Relations for the National Wrestling Alliance. He won’t be present for NWA Crockett Cup this weekend. Kyle Davis will reportedly lead the events. 

Kenney last wrestled in 2010 at TNA Hardcore Justice – The Last Stand teaming with Kid Kash & Johnny in a loss to The FBI (Guido Maritato, Tony Luke & Tracy Smothers). He started working as a producer and commentator for IMPACT/TNA when he signed with company in 2003. 

He is best known for his run as Simon Diamond in ECW. He became Director of Talent Relations for NWA in 2021 when the company returned from hiatus.
