Paige VanZant: I’m A Pay-Per-View Person, They’ve Got To Pay Me Pay-Per-View Dollars To Show Up

Paige VanZant knew that she wanted her first match to be a big payday but now that she has survived her debut, she’s ready for more.

Former UFC Fighter and current bare-knuckle fighter, Paige VanZant made her AEW in-ring debut at Double or Nothing 2022, coming away with a victory alongside Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page. In the match, she got her first taste of professional wrestling action as she mixed it up with Tay Conti and was even able to get the better of Sammy Guevara.

Speaking to The Schmo after the bout, Paige gave her immediate reactions to her performance.

“It feels amazing,” she said. “You know, everybody keeps asking me when I’m gonna pick a lane. I don’t have to I’m gonna be good at absolutely everything I do. I got my next bare-knuckle boxing match coming up in London on July 16.”

Talking about making her debut on pay-per-view, she said that she wanted her first match to be a major occurrence and joked that she needs to be paid pay-per-view-level money to show up.

“I knew that this was the only place I wanted to make my AEW debut. It had to be big and it had to be on pay-per-view. I am a pay-per-view person. They’ve got to pay me the pay-per-view dollars to show up,” she said.

Now that she got over her debut, Paige is ready for the next step, a one-on-one match.

“I hope [you see me wrestling again] soon,” she said. “I came out of this match unscathed and I have zero injuries. I put on a dominant performance. I can’t wait for my solo match.”
