Otis Hopes Heavy Machinery Can Reunite To Win The Tag Team Titles
It was a rough 2020 WWE Draft for Otis as he went to SmackDown while his peach Mandy Rose and tag team partner Tucker went to Raw.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Otis gave his reaction to finding out he would be split from Tucker following the draft.
“It really hit us, big time, after Talking Smack and hearing the news. As we walked away from being guests, we heard Kayla say, ‘No more Tucker and Otis or Heavy Machinery.’ We’re walking to the locker room and I saw him wiping his face and I’m like, ‘Oh man, this is really real.’ Just like every relationship, we’ve been a team for four and half years and it hit me hard too. It was like two big babies. He’s been basically my big brother on the road. I’m not organized, I’m a little insane, and he’s the person that looks over the little guy, which is me. Very emotional. It’s two hearts, one soul. We have the same thought process and it’s not two egos, it’s the same ego. I’m going to miss him,” said Otis. “I’m still in shock. We came in, full tag team. One day, we’ll get the tag team titles. We didn’t get the titles in NXT. We lost two chances at the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. It’ll be bitter to sweet if we could one day come back together and win those Tag Team Championships.”
Otis still holds the Money in the Bank briefcase and has until May 2021 to cash it in for a title shot. Mandy is currently teaming with Dana Brooke while it is unknown what Tucker will be doing on WWE Raw.
