Orange Cassidy: Kris Statlander Is Very Special, She’s One Of The Best Wrestlers In The World

Orange Cassidy comments on his bond with Kris Statlander. 

Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander are a large part of the Best Friends stable and are genuinely best of friends in real life. Currently, both are holding championship belts, with Statlander being only the second AEW TBS Champion in history and Orange Cassidy being the first man to hold the AEW International Title on two separate occasions. 

Speaking on the Under The Ring Podcast, Cassidy was very complimentary of Statlander saying that he believed she’s in a similar spot to where he was during his last reign with the International Title and noting that they both lean on each other and support one another through the grind of the industry. 

“Kris Statlander is very special because she’s part of our little stable and her and I have become very good friends. She’s in a very similar spot that I was when I had my first title run. So we can kind of lean on each other and help each other out. It’s not really so much that I’m mentoring her, we’re just bouncing ideas off each other. It’s also very easy when Kris Statlander is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world to be like, ‘Oh, hey, you should do this,’ and she does it incredibly. I’m not really doing too much she’s already figured it out.”

Moxley and Cassidy are prepared to wrestle once again at AEW Full Gear 2023, with Cassidy putting his title on the line against the man who took the belt from him the first time.
