On the February 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, Lexy Nair asked Hathaway about The Firm’s recent setbacks, and he blamed HOOK. The FTW Champion confronted Hathaway and wrenched his arm, and the altercation proved to be a costly one.

Hathaway posted a threatening message in a tweet on February 9; he claimed that he suffered a fractured forearm, and the injury would require a cast. He then threatened to sue AEW and replace the picture of Shad Khan in Tony Khan’s office with one of James Brown.

Plus, Danhausen interrupted an interview with Stokely Hathaway and Lee Moriarty interview after Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, and Hathaway claimed that he needed an “ass-whopping.” AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy walked up and seemingly agreed to give Hathaway a title match for one of his clients.

AEW President Tony Khan then announced that Cassidy will defend the title against Moriarty on the February 10 episode of AEW Rampage.
