NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles Change Hands On NXT
May the fourth be with The Way.
On Tuesday’s episode of NXT, The Way (Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell) finally bested Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon to capture the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles in a street fight.
The finish saw LeRae use brass knuckles and then hit the Wicked Step Sister on Shotzi on a chair for the victory. Hartwell did her part, wiping out Ember with a springboard elbow through a table.
Despite teases earlier in the night, Dexter Lumis did not get involved and Johnny Gargano & Austin Theory had left the building after attacking Karrion Kross.

This marks the first NXT Women’s Tag Team Title reign for The Way. Moon & Blackheart had held the titles since March 10 when they defeated the inaugural champions Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai on the same night that Gonzalez & Kai were given the titles for winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
