NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match Made Official For 7/5 NXT Great American Bash
The NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles will be on the line at The Great American Bash.
Last Tuesday, Roxanne Perez came out and announced that she would be cashing in her Breakout Tournament Championship Contract on the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. As much as she wants to be NXT Women’s Champion, she believes winning alongside her best friend, Cora Jade, would be even better.
Roxanne and Cora were then interrupted by Katana Chance and Kayden Carter who insisted that they are next in line for a title shot. After exchanging a few words, a brawl broke out between the two teams, leading to a Number One Contender Match being booked for June 28.
It was announced prior the match that the winning team would challenge Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin for their Tag Titles next week, July 5, at The Great American Bash. After a hard-fought encounter, it was Jade and Perez who would emerge victoriously after Perez hit Pop-Rox. With their victory, this also means Roxanne doesn’t need to use her contracted Championship opportunity.
