NXT Championship, Women’s Championship Matched Set For NXT TakeOver
Candice LeRae Kyle O’Reilly are heading to TakeOver.
Opening tonight’s episode of NXT, LeRae won a Battle Royale to become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women’s Championship, beating out the likes of Tegan Nox, Rhea Ripley, Raquel Gonzalez, Indi Hartwell, Kacy Catanzaro, Dakota Kai and more. LeRae will now challenge Io Shirai for the title at NXT TakeOver, taking place on October 4.

Earlier in the day, it was announced that LeRae’s husband Johnny Gargano will take on Damian Priest for the NXT North American Championship at TakeOver. Fightful will have live coverage of TakeOver.
In the main event of tonight’s NXT, Kyle O’Reilly won the first-ever Gauntlet Eliminator, beating out Kushida, Bronson Reed, Timothy Thatcher and Cameron Grimes, to become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship. O’Reilly will now challenge Finn Balor for the NXT title at TakeOver.
