NXT Results For 10/19/21 Breakker and Ciampa vs. Grizzled Young Veterans and more

– NXT begins with a highlight reel featuring Carmelo Hayes winning the NXT North American Title.
– WWE NXT announcer Vic Joseph welcomes the viewer to NXT 2.0; Vic Joseph says we are seven days away from Halloween Havoc.
– NXT Ring announcer Alicia Taylor then welcomes Carmelo Hayes. Trick Williams starts the promo and says that they look good in gold. Williams says that they are having a “Melobration tonight.”
Hayes says it was four and a half months ago when he broke out into the scene. Hayes says he walked around waiting for two months for his opportunity, and he swerved Swift. Hayes says from here on out that he will be calling the shots. Johnny Gargano then interrupts the promo with the crowd chanting, “welcome back.” Gargano says to Carmelo Hayes that they have not formally met. Instead, Gargano wants to congratulate Hayes on winning the North American title.
Gargano says that Austin is on Raw, Indi is married, and Candice is at home pregnant. Johnny Gargano then challenges Carmelo Hayes to a match. Williams takes a shot at Indi Hartwell, and Johnny agrees with him and then says, “you’re right; that is my daughter and right behind you is my son-in-law.” Dexter Lumis is in the ring, and he begins attacking Williams.
Odyssey Jones vs. Andre Chase
The match begins with Odyssey Jones slamming Andre Chase down onto the mat with ease. Now, Chase attempts to hit Jones with a shoulder tackle, but it hurt Chase more than it did Jones. Chase takes Jones down and hits him with a flurry of strikes. Chase throws a right at Jones; Jones catches his hand, and then he throws Andre Chase around like a rag doll. Jones pins Chase after hitting Chase with a big body slam and then a splash.
Winner: Odyssey Jones
– Malcolm Bivens cuts a short promo and says they will no longer ask for opportunities; they are just going to take them from now on.
The Creed Brothers (w/ Diamond Mine) vs. Imperium
Brutus Creed and Fabian Aichner’s match begins with Aichner trying to hit Creed with a shoulder tackle, but he does not move. Aichner tags in Marcel Barthel and Barthel works the arm of Brutus; Brutus gets out of it and lands a big German suplex on Brutus. Barthel nails Brutus with a massive kick to the face; Brutus tags in Julius Creed. Creed is met with a series of strikes; Marcel goes to the top rope, but he takes his focus off of Julius as Roderick Strong goes over and grabs his leg.
The distraction allows The Creed Brothers to take control; both of the Creed Brothers are then taken down with ease by Fabian Aichner. Aichner hits a big powerslam on Brutus Creed. The Creed Brothers soon take control and are about to finish it off. Suddenly, Ikemen Jiro and Kushida start attacking Diamond Mine members, allowing Fabian Aichner to roll up Julius and get the pin. After the match, MSK attacks Imperium and challenges them to a match at next week’s Halloween Havoc.
Winner: Imperium
– We get a video of Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner hanging out and working out, and O’Reilly says if they keep things going and get on the right page, they can be a pretty good team.
– Joe Gacy is cutting a promo talking about “empathy” and will speak for others and that he and Harland will be a coalition. He then tells Harland to join him and then calls him “snowflake.”
– Legado del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar talks about last week’s match and that he is not done and will get the title.
Cora Jade vs. Elektra Lopez
The match begins with Elektra Lopez throwing Cora Jade down into the mat with ease; Lopez then hits Jade with multiple bodyslam’s. Jade comes back at Lopez with a couple of gut shots, but it does not affect Lopez. Jade is back up on Lopez’s slides down the back of Lopez and goes for the pin attempt; Lopez kicks out. Jade ducks another punch and then rolls up Lopez for another pin attempt, and this time she gets the win. Jade escapes the ring before Legado Del Fantasma can get to her, and Lopez looks on in disbelief.
Winner: Cora Jade
– We get a promo with Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa. They get asked if they can co-exist, and Ciampa says that he will follow Breakker’s lead for the time being.
– Grayson Waller and LA Knight are cutting promos talking about wanting to host Halloween Havoc.
Triple Threat Match (w/ Winner getting to Spin the Wheel for Halloween Havoc)
Io Shirai vs. Persia Pirotta vs. Jacy Jayne
The three competitors are staring down, the bell rings, and Jacy Jayne walks over to Io Shirai and slaps her hard. Now, Jayne and Shirai are exchanging multiple strikes, and they both turn their attention to Pirotta. Pirotta hits both Shirai and Jayne with a double suplex. Jacy Jayne goes for the dive, but unfortunately, her feet get caught into the ropes, and she lands badly. The match continues with a picture-in-picture commercial break. A trainer is assisting Jayne as Shirai and Pirotta continue the match on the outside. Finally, Shirai gets Perrotta into the ring, and Shirai is in control.
When the match returns from the commercial break, the NXT commentator says that Jacy Jayne was no longer fit to compete, and the match is now a one-on-one match. Pirotta is in control as she throws Shirai around with ease. Shirai gets some offense in, Io goes for another move, but Pirotta catches her and hits her with a big powerbomb. Pirotta goes for the pin, Shirai kicks out at two. Shirai hits Pirotta with 619, now Shirai goes for a springboard, and she hits it but slips as she dives toward Pirotta. Io hits Pirotta with a German suplex, and then Io goes up and hits the moonsault to win. After the match, Io Shirai and Zoey Stark are out to spin the wheel. They spin the wheel, and we will have a Scareway to Hell Ladder Match next week on Halloween Havoc.
Winner: Io Shirai
– We get a backstage segment with Legado del Fantasma attacking Trey Baxter, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen joining the fight to save Baxter.
– We get a promo featuring Solo Sikoa, and he will debut next week.
Tony D’Angelo vs. Ru Feng
The match begins with a tie-up; Tony D’Angelo with a quick takedown Ru Feng with a quick shoulder tackle and a quick hip toss. D’Angelo has Feng in a headlock; he lets go of it. Feng gets a few shots in on D’Angelo, but D’Angelo makes him pay with a big lariat, and then a quick suplex and pin combination move to get the win.
Winner: Tony D’Angelo
– We get a promo of Duke Hudson
Legado del Fantasma’s (Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) (w/ Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez) vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen
Before this match began, both Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen were attacked by Santos Escobar and Raul Mendoza. We come back from the commercial break with the match already in progress. Legado del Fantasma is completely controlling the match; they are working Briggs’s legs. Briggs gets to Jensen for the hot tag; Josh Briggs is now on fire; he hits Joaquin Wilde with a big powerslam. Legado del Fantasma gets the win after Mendoza hits Briggs with a big kick to the chin.
Winners: Legado del Fantasma’s (Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) (w/ Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez)
– We get a video package building up the NXT Women’s Championship match for Halloween Havoc.
– Carmelo Hayes is looking for his title; he sees a note that says that he and Trick Williams will need to meet Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis at a haunted house next week.
Winner Gets to Host NXT Halloween Havoc
LA Knight vs. Grayson Waller
The match begins with Grayson Waller attempting to get multiple quick pin attempts on LA Knight. LA Knight takes control after numerous attempts. Waller and Strong exchange strikes, Waller hits Knight with a big clothesline. Waller goes to the top rope, and he misses Knight as he comes down. Knight ends it by hitting Waller with a stunner and then gets the pin.
Winner and now the Host of Halloween Havoc: LA Knight
Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Grizzled Young Veterans
The match begins with James Drake and Bron Breakker; Breakker takes down Drake with a quick shoulder tackle and then a big bodyslam. Drake gets a few punches in on Breakker; however, Breakker takes down Drake with a quick powerslam. Breakker gets into the face of Ciampa and says he will see him next week. Ciampa tags himself in. Breakker did not like this; however, Ciampa is now the legal man, and he controls the match with ease. Ciampa takes out both Zack Gibson and James Drake. Now, he hits Drake with a big boot in the corner turnbuckle. They head out for their last picture-in-picture commercial break of the evening with the Grizzled Young Veterans in control.f
Ciampa goes for the tag, but Breakker is not there because he caught Zack Gibson trying to chase him down. Gibson is tagged in and begins working the next of Tommaso Ciampa. Grizzled Young Veterans are doing everything they can to keep Ciampa away from tagging out. Ciampa hits James Drake with a big DDT. Breakker goes to stop Gibson again; Ciampa gets mad at Breakker again for not being there when he wants to tag out. Breakker makes it back, and Ciampa tags him in by slapping him hard. Breakker gets into the ring, and Breakker hits Drake with a big powerslam and then pins Drake for the win. The show goes off the air with Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa in each other’s faces.
