NXT Results For 10/12/21 Santos Escobar challenges Isaiah Swerve Scott For The North American Title

– The show begins with Legado Del Fantasma jumping members of Hit Row. The group grabs B-Fab and Top Dolla and puts them in their vehicle, and drives off.
– We are welcomed to NXT 2.0 by NXT commentator Vic Joseph; Joseph then introduces his colleagues Beth Phoenix and Wade Barrett.
Joe Gacy vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Joe Gacy starts the segment by saying he is in NXT to “represent all the snowflakes.” Tommaso Ciampa and Joe Gacy lock up, and Ciampa has the upper hand to start things off. Gacy hits Ciampa with a shoulder tackle, but Ciampa overpowers him rather quickly.
Gacy gets back up and lays in some pretty stiff shots in on Ciampa. Harland is shown sitting in the crowd watching the match. Then, we go back to the action as Ciampa hits Gacy with a big running knee; the action goes to the outside of the ring and slams Gacy’s face into the commentator’s desk. Next, Ciampa gives a few forearms to Gacy and an arm breaker. Then, Gacy hits Ciampa with a one-armed power slam. We head out for our first commercial break with Gacy in control.
We return from the break with Ciampa and Gacy exchanging strikes; Ciampa sends Gacy outside the ring. Ciampa grabs Gacy and throws Gacy into the guardrails. Ciampa runs the ropes and lands some shots in on Gacy. Gacy goes for the roll-up pin; Ciampa is up and chops Gacy hard. Gacy battles back up and hits Ciampa with a powerbomb. Ciampa hits the Fairytale Ending and then pins Joe Gacy for the victory. After the match, Harland attacks Ciampa.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa
– Toxic Attraction is out to cut a promo. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne talk about how they are going for the NXT Women’s Tag-Team Championship, and Mandy Rose says she will be challenging Raquel Gonzalez at Halloween Havoc.
– We see a promo for Halloween Havoc
Xyon Quinn vs. Malik Blade
The match begins with Xyon Quinn destroying Malik Blade; he slams Blade hard into the mat and hits him with multiple shoulders. Then, Quinn throws Blade into the turnbuckle hard, Xyon Quinn begins working on Malik’s back.
Malik Blade hits Quinn with a big shotgun dropkick. Unfortunately, that dropkick did nothing as Quinn slams Blade hard into the mat with a move similar to a one-arm spinebuster. Quinn ends it when he hits Blade with his flying lariat/Superman Punch.
Winner: Xyon Quinn
– Tommaso Ciampa is cutting a promo backstage and gets interrupted by Grizzled Young Veterans; they are about to fight, but Bron Breakker appears, and Grizzled Young Veterans back away.
– Isaiah “Swerve” Scott is backstage getting interviewed, and Scott says those “evil spirits” that Santos Escobar is sending to him worked. So he will be taking his North American Championship title to Smackdown.
Ivy Nile (w/ Diamond Mine) vs. Valentina Feroz
The NXT commentators put over Ivy Nile’s skills from Titan Games. First, Nile hits Valentina Feroz with a massive suplex. Nile then tosses Feroz into the corner turnbuckle with ease; Nile then stands on the back of Feroz’s neck.
Nile lifts Feroz again and just suplex’s Feroz at ease again; Ivy Nile now has Feroz in a torture rack of sorts and is stretching Feroz out. Finally, Feroz has no choice but to tap out. After the match, Malcolm Bivens gets into the ring and begins putting over Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers. Bivens hands the microphone over to Roderick Strong, and right, as he begins to talk, he gets interrupted by Ikemen Jiro.
Winner: Ivy Nile (w/ Diamond Mine)
Julius Creed (w/ Diamond Mine) vs. Ikemen Jiro
We return from the commercial break with the match already in progress. Julius Creed is just tossing Jiro around; Creed slams Jiro face-first into the mat. Creed hits Jiro with a variation of a hook slam. Jiro is getting some offense in but is taking too long showboating. Jiro hits Creed on the outside with a moonsault over the top rope.
Jiro sends Creed back into the ring, Jiro goes for a Springboard assault, but Creed catches him mid-air, and Creed ends it with a devastating clothesline. Creed then pins Jiro for the victory. Next, Diamond Mine members begin attacking Jiro; Kushida makes the save, but there are too many members of Diamond Mine, and he then gets beaten down as Diamond Mine stands tall.
Winner: Julius Creed (w/ Diamond Mine)
– Raquel Gonzalez answers Mandy Rose’s challenge and that they will add some stakes to it and they will spin the wheel.
– Lashing Out with Lash Legend is on now, and she talks about how crazy the WWE Draft was; she says that the draft will be known as WWE Squid Games. She then talks about Hit Row getting drafted and how she will not let Tony D’Angelo.
Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly vs. Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland
The match begins with Pete Dunne going right at Von Wagner; Wagner hits Dunne with a headbutt. Kyle O’Reilly and Ridge Holland are now the legal men; O’Reilly is working the arm of Ridge Holland. Holland hits O’Reilly with a belly-to-belly suplex.
Dunne is tagged back in, and Dunne is stretching out O’Reilly, now Holland and Dunne are double-teaming Kyle O’Reilly. Holland throws O’Reilly around while Dunne works on the lower body of O’Reilly. O’Reilly hits Dunne with a big clothesline; however, it does not do anything. Von Wagner and Ridge Holland are tagged in simultaneously, and Von Wagner takes out Holland with a big shoulder tackle. Wagner then sends Holland over the top rope, and then right before going to a commercial break, Wagner sends Holland into the steel steps.
We return from the break with Holland handling O’Reilly, Dunne tags in, and Dunne hits Von Wagner with an enzuigiri. Dunne stomps down on the hands of O’Reilly; Dunne tags in Holland and Holland slams O’Reilly to the outside of the ring.
Holland appears as if he would slam O’Reilly on the steel steps; however, Wagner makes the save. O’Reilly gets back into the ring, and he gets to Wagner for the hot tag. Wagner hits his finisher and gets the win.
Winners: Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly
– We are shown an Andre Chase University segment
– Tony D’Angelo cuts a promo talking about his debut match from last week; he talks about how a producer had a problem with him, and D’Angelo says “forget it” and walks away. D’Angelo walks away, and you can hear someone in the trunk trying to get out.
Andre Chase vs. Grayson Waller
Andre Chase and Grayson Waller begin things slowly; Waller gets the upper hand quickly after taking Chase down with an arm drag. Chase then hits Waller with a belly-to-belly suplex. Waller and Chase are exchanging strikes. Chase sends Waller out of the ring; Waller runs back in and hits Chase with a stunner. Waller goes for the pin; Chase kicks out at two. Chase lands a big boot on Waller, and then Chase rolls up Waller for the pin while holding the tights.
Winner: Andre Chase
– We get a promo from Santos Escobar, and he talks about how he never goes anywhere without his family.
– We get a promo vignette from Imperium, and they mention how they will be going after MSK.
Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta vs. Sarray and Amari Miller
The match begins with Persia Pirotta and Sarray; Sarray tries to take down Pirotta right away; however, it does not work. Sarray tags in Indi Hartwell; Hartwell throws Sarray around with ease until Sarray counters Hartwell’s bodyslam.
Sarray tags in Amari Miller; Miller is in the ring and takes Hartwell down with a nice takedown. Hartwell makes it back to Pirotta, and Pirotta hits Miller with a big boot. Pirotta slams down Miller face-first and tags in Hartwell, who wins it after hitting Miller with a springboard elbow drop and getting the pin. After the match, Pirotta and Hartwell say they want to challenge Io Shirai and Zoey Stark; Stark and Io come out but get interrupted by Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. All three tag-teams begin fighting; however, Io and Zoey stand tall.
Winners: Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta
– We get a backstage promo with Grayson Waller showing Cameron Grimes how to use Tinder.
– We get a promo vignette of
NXT North American Championship Match
Santos Escobar vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (C)
Isaiah “Swerve” Scott is out at ringside by himself; the three other members of Hit Row are nowhere to be found. Santos Escobar is now on his way out, and he gets attacked right away by Scott. Swerve gets Escobar into the ring, the bell rings, and Swerve flips over the top rope and lands down on top of Escobar.
While Escobar is still on the outside trying to recover, Scott toys around with him a little bit. Finally, Scott smashes his knee into the face of Escobar. Escobar attempts to counter Scott’s moves, but it’s not working until Scott goes outside. Escobar takes the legs out of Scott and then follows it up with a tope con hilo which sends Scott over the commentator’s desk. We go to our last commercial break of the evening.
We return from the commercial break with Escobar stretching out Scott. Escobar then delivers a big kick to the middle of Scott’s back. The crowd is starting to get behind Scott; both men begin exchanging heavy chops. Escobar counters Scott’s attack and sends Scott into the mat face first. Escobar hits Scott with a big knee, Escobar hits a big frog splash. Escobar goes for the pin; however, Scott kicks out. Escobar is on the top rope; Scott trips him and then delivers slam outside the ropes. Raul Mendoza and Wilde show up and distract the ref. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams make the save; Swerve Scott hits the JML Driver on Escobar and then pins him to retain the NXT North American Championship.

Carmelo Hayes (w/ Trick Williams) vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (C)
After the match, Carmelo Hayes raises Scott’s arm, and then out of nowhere, he hits Scott with a devastating clothesline. He then hands over his contract for a title match since he won the NXT Breakout Tournament. The NXT Ring Announcer Alicia Taylor announces the match, the bell rings. Hayes nails Scott with a big roundhouse kick and then hits a big elbow drop from the top rope. Hayes then pins Scott to get the win and become the new NXT North American Champion.
