NXT Outdraws AEW Dynamite In Viewership For The Second Straight Week


NXT’s recent momentum from Survivor Series is now coupled with a second straight win over AEW in terms of viewership.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the November 27 episode of NXT averaged 810,000 viewers, down from the week prior, which did 916,000 viewers. Although viewership was down compared to last week, it still drew higher viewership numbers than the November 13 episode which was 750,000. In the 18-49 demographic, NXT drew a 0.24 rating, good for 19th on cable for the day.

NXT opened with Undisputed Era defending their NXT Tag Team Championship against the duo of Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic and Lio Rush defending his Cruiserweight title against Akira Tozawa. The main event saw Finn Balor defeat Tommaso Ciampa.

Meanwhile, AEW averaged 663,000 viewers, the lowest the show has ever averaged since it debuted on TNT back in October. The week prior averaged 893,000 viewers. In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite drew a 0.26 rating, good for 15th on cable for the day, but still down from the 0.39 rating the week prior drew.

Dynamite featured Chris Jericho‘s Celebrashon and Cody Rhodes returning to action. Jericho then retained his AEW World Championship against Scorpio Sky in the main event while MJF defeated Hangman Page to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
