NXT Outdraws AEW Dynamite In Viewers For 11/25, AEW Wins In Most Demos
NXT managed to outdraw AEW in viewers for the second time in as many months.
According to ShowBuzz Daily, the November 25 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 710,000 viewers, which is down from the 850,000 viewers the November 18 episode drew. This was AEW’s least-watched two-hour episode on Wednesday since June 10 when it drew 677,000 viewers. It was also the biggest drop in viewers week-to-week since March when the March 11 episode also did 140,000 less viewers than the week prior drew.
As for NXT, this week drew 712,000 viewers, up from November 11’s 638,000 viewers. This was the best viewership the show drew since October 28 (NXT’s Halloween Havoc special) when it did 876,000 viewers. In the three shows between October 28 and November 25, NXT averaged roughly 626,666 viewers per episode. Halloween Havoc was also the last time NXT outdrew AEW Dynamite in viewers.
AEW drew a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week (7th best on cable), which is down from last week’s 0.37 rating. NXT drew a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week (25th best on cable), which is up from last week’s 0.14 rating.
In addition, AEW beat out NXT in every demographic except the 50+ demo where NXT won out with a 0.38 rating to AEW’s 0.29. AEW was also the highest-rated cable program in males 18-49 for the night with a 0.37 rating.
AEW Dynamite this week saw a contract signing for the upcoming AEW World Title match between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley. The show also featured AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida defending her title against Anna Jay and in the main event, The Butcher & The Blade defeated PAC & Rey Fenix.
NXT continued the build towards TakeOver: WarGames. Candice LeRae revealed her full team that will take on Shotzi Blackheart’s team and in the main event, Pete Dunne defeated Kyle O’Reilly in a ladder match. Dunne’s team, captained by Pat McAfee, will have the WarGames advantage against Undisputed ERA as a result of Dunne’s win.
